Annual General Meeting 2009

Notice of re-convened AGM - Thurs 25th March
This Notice applies only to Full 2009 Members ( i.e those who paid their 2009 Annual Subscription before 1 Mar 2009)

Members who attended the resumed 2009 AGM in January will know that we agreed to a further adjournment to allow more time to finalise the Accounts. The Officers undertook to reconvene the meeting by the end of March - giving 2 weeks notice through the Club Noticboard, Website and Newsletter.

I'm pleased to report that we're on target to meet this committment thanks to great work being done by the Club Officers and the external Auditor, Manus Brady & Co. I am therefore serving formal Notice to Full Members of the re-conveneing of the 2009 AGM - to take place in the Clubhouse on Thurs 25th March at 8:00 p.m. Registration will start at 7:30 to facilitate a timely start of the main meeting. The Agenda, Nominations and Motions remain as originally published.

2009 AGM - Further Postponement Agreed
At the reconvened 2009 AGM, the meeting agreed to a further adjournment to the end of March to allow more time for the Accounts to be formally audited.

2009 AGM - Notice of Reconvention

This Notice applies only to Full Members ( i.e those who paid 2009 Annual Subscription before 1 Mar 2009)
Full Members who attended the 2009 AGM in December will recall the Meeting agreed to adjourn to allow more time to prepare the Accounts . We set 31 Jan as the latest date to reconvene the meeting and we undertook to give 2 weeks notice of the reconvened meeting - through theClub Noticboard, Website and Newsletter.

Since the AGM and throughout the Christmas holiday period , An Coiste has made made good progress with the external Auditor, Manus Brady & Co. However, despite additional help being generously given by Games Treasurers, the job in hand is proving very time consuming. At a meeting with the Auditor this week it has become clear that, despite the progress achieved, the remaining work is unlikely to be finalised in a timeframe that will facilitate presentation to the Members by the end of this month.

On this basis, it is now proposed that the AGM will still be reconvened before the end onf the month - as directed by the December Meeting - specifically on Friday 29th January - but only to seek approval for a further adjournment to a final date that the Auditor can sustain. This date is most likely to be in the last two weeks of February .

I am therefore serving formal Notice to Full Members of the re-conveneing of the 2009 AGM - to take place in the Clubhouse on Friday 29th January at 8:00 p.m.

If An Coiste's proposal for a further adjournment is acceptable to the meeting, the meeting itself will be a short one - serving only to technically fulfil Club Rules and deferring the remaining 2009 AGM agenda to late February. An Coiste trust that Members will understand the position and wish to assure everyone that the Cuala Officers and Games Treasurers are giving this matter their top priority and we remain hopeful of achieving the revised February deadline. Your patience and co-operation and support is greatly appreciated.
