Cuala's Sports and Social Integration Project
is a Government-supported project, funded
under the Young People’s Facilities and Service Fund. The Project
was established by Damian Byrne, former Chairman
of Cuala, ex-Dublin Hurling goalkeeper and currently a member of the
dublin Senior Hurling management team. The Project is now managed
by Ken FitzGerald who has many years experience of
sports management, health promotion and community development. The
S.S.I.P. works alongside G.A.A. / Cuala’s Games Promotion Officer,
Caroline Kenny to deliver a combined approach to
developing gaelic games and fostering healthy attitudes amongst young
people towards sports in a wide area including Shankill,
Loughlinstown, Ballybrack, Mounttown,
Sallynoggin and Dun Laoghaire.  First class Pupils of Archbishop McQuaide NS attending their very first Hurling session under the SSIP - Is there a budding "Dub" among them?
