MEETING NEXT WEDNESDAY 25TH JANUARY
As all Cuala members will be aware 2016 saw the Senior Hurling team reach unprecedented levels of success in retaining the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship and the Division 1 Dublin Senior Hurling League titles. Then to cap off an outstanding year they won the AIB Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship for the first time in the club’s history on a never to be forgotten day in December.
Cuala now march forward to an All-Ireland Semi-Final on the 25th of February and we’re sure all members of the club will want to assist them with their quest for All-Ireland glory.
Helping this team reach their potential and perform to their maximum at the highest level of Senior Club Hurling requires considerable financial resources and we are now calling on all members to support a concerted fundraising effort to ensure that no stone is left unturned in the preparation of this team.
We are holding a fundraising meeting in Cuala next Wednesday evening, the 25th of January, at 8.30pm and are looking for as many members as possible to attend. We would particularly like to welcome parents, brothers, sisters and friends of the team on the night. We will be looking for volunteers to give us some time to help organise and coordinate our various fundraising events. Our Senior Hurling Manager, Mattie Kenny will be there on the night to outline how team preparations are going and to give us an insight into what’s involved in preparing a team to perform at the highest level.
