U14B footballer got their league campaign underway last weekend after a long break. This was a top of the table clash vs Man O’War and after a very close game came out losers. Cuala almost snatched the points when Conor Bass got the ball in front of goal in the dying seconds but his shot went agonisingly wide to leave the margin at 2 point.

Minor A footballers had a good win over Thomas Davis last weekend while the Minor B Footballers drew with St. Oliver Plunketts.

Junior C Hurlers had a great win against Round Towers in the championship semi final on Sunday last in Shankill and are now in the final. A finely balanced mix of wisdom (old age!) and youth (who did all the running) did the trick. Shay Hayes, Eddie Gough were the management maestros while Denis Byrne transformed from coaching guru to netminder to conduct a fine win.

Well done too to the Senior hurlers who beat St. Brigids in O’Toole Park on Saturday evening.

The Camogie season has ended but players are reminded that training continues from next Tuesday 7th Oct in the Hall starting at 7pm.

A mention about last weeks Coaching session with Paudie Butler. We had 40 coaches on the night and the session was focussed on fundamental skills of hurling. It was an excellent session, informative, entertaining and hugely motivating. We hope to have Paudie back soon to conduct a session on player development. These sessions are beneficial for coaches of all age group and both codes. Coaching Dept will produce fact-sheet and session plan by next week.
