Well “Hooky” is on board and judging from his appearance at the Cuala Choral event in the Killiney Castle on Wed night, we are sure to be entertained!

Thanks to all who supported the girls from the U11 (1997) and U12 (1996) teams who joined members of the senior camogie team in a camogie fund raising bag pack in Eurospar Killiney last Saturday.

The U7 (2001) and U8 (2000) Cuala girls took part in a very successful mini camogie blitz against St Johns Ballinteer and Bray Emmetts in a very cold Broadford last Saturday. There was a good turnout from both age groups despite the change of time and location at very short notice and all Cuala teams performed very well.

This Saturday the U8 (2000) girls play Templeogue Synge Street in football in their final game of the season at 10.30am in Meadowvale.

The U11 girls play Bray Emmets in a football challenge game this Saturday at 2.15pm in Bray in their first and last game of the season! (Due to the clash of U11 football and camogie on the same day they were entered at U12 this season so they are looking forward to playing girls of their own age at last!)

The U12 girls play St. Johns Ballinteer in a football challenge game this Saturday at 3.00pm in Marley Park in their last football game of the sesaon

Once again this year – players well past their prime can re-live old glories and re-discover old injuries in the Old Dogs vs Young Bucks rematch. Its a great way to shed pounds and shred a hamstring! Date is 27th Dec, 2:30pm – one half football , one half hurling. We aim to turn this into a charity event in aid of the Niall Mellon Foundation. Contact Ken Fitz if interested. All welcome for a bit of fun!

Due to the increasing number of young hurlers coming through the underage sections and to further develop the structure within the Adult Hurling Section, a Cuala Hurling forum will be held shortly. The Forum will be facilitated by Damien Byrne and Colmán O Drisceoil. We would like to invite members to submit proposal, ideas or comments by email on eddie.gough@ie.abb.com; (closing date Wed 10th Dec). It would be helpful if submitters would focus on specific areas for discussion such as administration, financial, coaching, management and team structures. It is also important to focus on pathways for younger players, communications and the hurling structure in the overall club. Details of the meeting to follow shortly.

Dun Laoghaire Musical Society (including our own Marian Holden) are having a concert in the Cuala Hall on the 13th and 14th of December. See attached poster for details.
