The U14s took the ‘Rebel ‘Capital by storm last weekend and in the process picked up the Mick O’Brien Memorial Tophy for the second year in a row!! This premier competition run by Nemo Rangers included opposition from St.Vincents (Cork), Macroom, Austin Stacks and An Gaeltacht in the final but there was no stopping our boys. Well done to all – a fantastic victory – and oh by the way the strike got sorted too. Photos on the website so check it out.
Special thanks too to the U14B and U13 footballers and mentors who helped the club out last weekend by stepping in to fulfil the fixture against St.Sylvesters. It may not be as glamourous as cup tournaments in Leeside but its required so thanks to all who helped out.
U14 Feile football starts this weekend with the A’s playing Whitehall away at 2pm and the B’s playing Crumlin away at 3:30pm. Keep up the good work lads.
U10s Greens had a good win over Templeogue last Saturday and all three teams are in action at home in Thomastown this Saturday with Blues vs Ballyboden at10am, Greens vs Thomas Davis and Reds vs Bray Emmets both at 11am.
The Adult footballers preparations for the new season are well underway, the Intermediates under the management of Michael Sheanon had a draw versus St.Pats last Sunday, while the Juniors had a good win against Clan na Gael. Intermediate footballers play their first home match vs Ballyboden in the Loving Cup this Sunday at 11am in Hyde Park.
Juniors play their first away cup match in Templeogue – all support welcome.
Junior hurlers are having a fundraiser down the club this Saturday consisting of lunch followed by a prize draw afterwards. Great prizes to be won including a Ninetendo Wii, €75 voucher for the ClubBar in Dalkey and a free haircut for the Hair Salon in Dalkey. It should be a great afternoon with the rugby match on the ‘big’ telly too. See the attachments for details.
