On the recommendation of the Coaching Committee, An Coiste has ratified the appointment of a Games Development Officer for the Club.
Reporting to the Coaching Committee / An Coiste, the goal of the Games Development Officer is to drive an initiative aimed at improving and enhancing the development of all of our under-age teams and all players, male and female, from the age of 5 to 18. The objectives will include bringing increased consistency and quality to player and team development, whilst fostering a culture of sharing of experience across teams and age groups, and between adult and under-age sections. The Games Development Officer will build, over time, a team of appropriately skilled and experienced individuals to drive the development of Hurling/Camogie and Football.
people_murphy_donalFollowing the role being advertised  in 2013, I’m delighted to announce that Donal Murphy has been ratified by An Coiste.  Donal will be arranging presentations to individual Games Sections during Feb/Mar and will also engage with team coaches and mentors as required. Donal will also be seeking expressions of interest from those who may feel they can play a role as part of this new initiative.
We wish Donal and all his coaching colleagues every success in this important initiative.
