Adult Ladies and Sherry Fitzgerald announce partnership

The Adult Ladies section and Sherry Fitzgerald Lettings have certainly made a winning partnership since announcing their sponsorship deal before the Ladies Footballers’ win over O’Tooles in the Championship on May 24th in front of a large home crowd in Hyde Park.

It seems such a short time since Cuala had one Adult ladies football team and no adult camogie team so it’s a testament to the trojan work put in by so many people over the years at juvenile level that the club can now field two adult teams in both codes.

Success

Back to back promotions for the first camogie team over the last two seasons and topping the Senior 3 table in 2017 is a rise that can only be described as meteoric for this still very young team. Not to be outdone by their small ball clubmates, the Cuala footballers are making their own waves and are currently unbeaten in League and Championship in 2017. Topping Division 4 with 5 wins out of 5, the girls in red will be aiming for promotion in the Autumn.

Player Welfare

But it’s not just about success on the field for the Adult Ladies’ Section as they prioritise player welfare and put as strong a focus on their second teams as they do on the firsts. It’s no wonder Sherry Fitzgerald were happy to get involved and, at the launch in the clubhouse, Managing Director of Sherry FitzGerald Lettings Eileen Sheehy said, “We are thrilled to be sponsoring Cuala Ladies, a big part of our work is about involving ourselves in projects such as this, this is good for our community.” Dalkey Sherry Fitzgerald Branch manager Simone Rothschild added, “Sherry FitzGerald are the local agent in Dalkey and are delighted to be sponsoring the Cuala adult ladies section in Dalkey. We are delighted be part of the local community and to be supporting women in sport.”

Cuala are equally delighted with the deal and Adult Ladies’ Section chairperson Linda Farren told us,

“We are delighted to have Sherry Fitzgerald come on board as the sponsor for the Ladies section. 33% of the Cuala membership are female and our numbers are growing yearly. This sponsorship will go directly to keeping that momentum going. With success on the field comes an extra requirement for facilities and equipment. The wellbeing of all our players and mentors is paramount, and so, we will be able to realistically look at best practice training methods incorporating fitness and nutrition to name but a few. We have always prided ourselves on putting our players first and this sponsorship will go a long way to making that a reality.”
