Damien Byrne, SSIP Manager, has just announced the launch of Cuala’s very own Men’s Shed. A place where men, regardless of age, background, or ability can learn and teach through doing stuff together while improving their own well-being by keeping physically, mentally and socially active. Cuala’s Sports & Social Integration Project is exploring the possibility of setting up a Men’s Shed for the local area. If you have any experience of setting up a men’s shed or are just interested in helping, Damian Byrne would like to hear from you.
Gambling addiction is becoming more prevalent in Irish society – especially among young men involved in sport. This seminar is an important resource for players, coaches and parents who have an interest in this area.
The Ladies Mini Marathon is fast approaching and Cuala are getting ready for its water station. Could all team leaders please finalise their numbers and send the names of their team to Damian.

SSIP Project Manager, Damien Byrne, reminds us that the Womens Mini Marathon has traditionally enjoyed great support of Cuala. We want to maintain this fine tradition in 2016 and were looking for youth and adult volunteers to help administer Water Stations on 6 June.
Damian Byrne, our SSIP Project Manager, has drawn attention to this valuable Education Day offered by Community Awareness of Drugs. It is aimed at parents, coaches and young people over the age of 21. Taking place on Fri 22 April, the day will consists of experienced speakers who deal with the impact on children of substance abuse in the home. So book early as places are limited.
All players who emailed or completed on-line Consent forms please note that the Games takes place this Thursday at UCD. Meet at 9.45am at the main entrance UCD Sports Complex. Tracksuit, boots and runners required. Dressing room provided. Bring €5 for lunch. Finishing time 4pm.
