year, our task in 2015 will be to dispense “cool clear” water at the RDS. And no, we dont expect to see our Club President doing his party piece – but we require up to 80 volunteers to operate the station. SSIP Project Manager, Damien Byrne, reminds us that the event has traditionally enjoyed the support of Cuala teams from 15yrs up and have also enlisted the assistance of adult members in a supervisory roles. The 2015 race will be on the 1st of June and duties on the day will be — Meet in Cuala for briefing in the morning: – Transfer bus to the Water Station near RTE: – Set up Water Station tables / barriers etc.: – Supply the runners with water / assistance etc:- Encourage the runners- Dismantle the Water Station: – Return to Cuala by bus then Food and refreshments for all volunteers in Cuala clubhouse: The Coaching Department is appealing to all members to volunteer to be part of the biggest ‘Women Only’ Mini Marathon in the World. The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon is Ireland’s largest one day charity event with nearly €10 million raised for charities in 2014. All volunteers are insured under the Dublin Ladies Mini Marathon, so be a part of an enjoyable day and help thousands of women get across the line.
