Great turnout for the U12 Awards ceremony . Check out the website photos. And of course there was the Mentors match beforehand. There were all sorts of odd antics – throwing the ball, pulling down shorts, wearing funny hats. The U12s Mentors won the football and the U11s won the hurling. There was more pulling of hamstrings than on sliotars and noticeably less players on the pitch at the end than at the start. But it was great craic and looks like it could become an annual event.Just as well, as it will take a year to recover!
