DePaul is a homeless charity that provides support and shelter to 62 men in their Hostel in Back Lane beside Christchurch. This specialised project is managed in partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society providing direct access, emergency and short-term accommodation on a six month basis, for single homeless men.
Cuala is appealing to its members and supporters to help make these mens Christmas a special one. We’re working in close co-operation with DePaul in collecting a set of suitable gifts specific to the needs of each of the 62 residents of the hostel. This will typically be a pack containing
- a large garment (e.g. hoodie, PJs, jumper),
- a smaller item of clothing (e.g. t-shirt, underwear, socks)
- some smaller ‘gift’ items (e.g. toiletries,confectionery).
So here’s the plan. We’re aiming to supply 62 bespoke Cuala Christmas Packs. All you need to do now is to REGISTER YOUR INTEREST and we will get back to you to confirm the precise size/fitting to buy for and advise the collection arrangements. Then it’s over to you to purchase and pack suitable gifts.
Packs can be dropped to Cuala Bar on Wed 19 Dec 6 – 8 p.m.
