The Annual Cuala Girls Awards Night continues to go from strength to strength. Last Sunday evening an audience of over 350 ( 150 of them U8 to U16 players ) had the double honour of having on display the Ladies Football Senior All Ireland trophy (Brendan Martin Cup) and the Camogie Senior All Ireland trophy, (O’Duffy Cup) . The Brendan Martin cup was accompanied by Dublin captain Denise Masterson who presented the football awards while the O’Duffy cup was accompanied by Wexford senior stars Mags D’Arcy and Deirdre Codd as well as team bannisteoir JJ Doyle and Wexford camogie PRO Barbara Ryan.

The U8s were awarded with their Cuala Academy Graduation certificates, the U9s with medals and the U10s with certificates. The U11s were presented with their football league runners up medals, the U12s with their camogie league runners up medals, the U13s with their camogie league winners and football shield runners up medals while the U16s were presented with their championship winners medals. The U14s were also presented with team photos as mementos of their Feile year.

The following individual players were also presented with awards ranging from most improved player to player of the year:
U11: Orlaith O’Sullivan, Caoilinn Quinn, Rosa Hickey, Alison Slowey, Rebecca Beggins, Jennifer Dunne and Brid O’Donnell.
U12: Bille Kate Huggard, Hannah O’Dea, Clodagh Sheehan, Dervla Madden and Blaithin Lane.
U13: Cliona Rellis, Laura McRedmond, Juliette O’Flynn, Saoirse Reynolds, Julianna Shiel and Ciara McKeown
U14: Cybi NicGearailt, Caoimhe Byrne, Asia Kirwan, Katie O’Dea, Caitlin Byrne, Claire Donohoe and Molly McGrath.
U16: Orla Schutte, Cathy Brock, Fionnuala Mac Mahon, Jessica Tobin, Rachel Stanley, Staci Kennedy, Martha Byrne, Siobhan O’Kelly and Nicole Dowdall.
