The tragic death of Michaela McAreavey, daughter of Tyrone County Manager Mickey Harte, will be mourned by all followers of Gaelic Games and by the wider community. We in Cuala have a special affinity with the Harte family , having been honoured by Mickey and Miriam’s attendance as guests of honour at the Club Annual Dinner in 2004 (when they proudly displayed their recently acquired Sam Maguire trophy). Our thoughts are with them at this terrible time. The Club has written to the Harte and McAreavey families to express, on behalf of all of its members, its deepest condolences on the passing of Michaela.
